Group HR Manager - Maternity Cover
Background to the Role

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to cover maternity leave. The role of the Group HR Manager (Maternity Cover) is required to ensure a high quality HR service is delivered across the InTechnology Group (including InHealthcare, IntechnologyWiFi, and Intechnology PLC), and My Possible Self.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include, but are not restricted to, the following:

  • Provision of HR support and advice to Directors, Managers, and Employees on operational HR issues to ensure consistency across all areas of the Company and compliance with employment legislation
  • Managing the recruitment process, including selection and interviewing of candidates
  • Providing HR reports to the board
  • Administration of employee-related paperwork, such as employment contracts, new starter packs, etc.
  • Leading new starter company inductions
  • Managing and running the payroll, including pension (Smart pay and Smart Enrol)
  • Manage the Company’s Absence policies, providing advice and support to Managers where appropriate, to ensure the effective management of both short and long term absence
  • Managing the development and implementation of new and revised HR policies to ensure compliance with legislation requirements and best practice
  • Disciplinary, Grievance, and Conflict handling
  • Issues relating to redundancy situations and termination of employment (including settlement agreements if necessary)
  • Performance Management
  • Management/administration of employee benefits
  • Training and Development
  • Office and site H&S
  • Complete management of HR Administration, including new starters and leavers process
  • Maintaining and improvement of HR and Recruitment Systems
  • Maintaining and improvement of HR Database and HR Intranet
  • Arranging regular Company get-togethers
  • Updating the Company intranet

Person Specification

The successful candidate in this role will be able to demonstrate the following skills, attributes and experience:

  • CIPD qualified
  • Previous experience of working in a small dynamic Company
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to deal with challenging employee relation issues and managers. It is vital that the Group HR manager has the capability of building relationships and networks with managers and employees.
  • Ability to work alongside all levels of management
  • Good knowledge and understanding of UK employment law
  • Ability to solve problems and have the confidence to make decisions
  • Highly literate and numerate
  • A natural leader who is still approachable
  • Caring and empathetic personality
  • Organised and administratively efficient
  • Flexible and dynamic
  • Reliable and discreet
  • An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Management experience
  • Work off own initiative
  • Ability to work with little or no guidance

Responsible for ensuring that they are aware of the security policies and procedures of the Information Security Management System (ISO27001) and how these specifically relate to the information resources they have access to.

All security events, whether suspected or actual, must be reported immediately to the Information Security Manager on detection, without exception, including underperforming or broken processes that may lead to information leakage or a security breach.

Responsible for ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with their requirements including:

  • Ensuring that they fully understand and execute their responsibilities under the QMS
  • Ensuring that they know and understand the company Quality Policy
  • Informing their Department Managers of any quality issues of concern
  • Ensuring that they adhere to best practice
